Fibre artist and Newfound Sound assistant director June Cousens was very honoured to participate in the 2025 Canada Games inspired Tapestry of Pride project. This stunning mural is made up of 42 hooked pieces representing all provinces and territories of Canada, all the sports in the Canada Games, and showcases the beautiful landscapes of Newfoundland and Labrador, the host province for this year's games. June's contribution is a hooked rug panel of the iconic Cabot Tower on Signal Hill, proudly flying the NL provincial flag. The tapestry is currently on display at the convention centre during the games, after which it will be relocated to the Confederation Building.  Some of the panels will be sold and funds raised will be donated to a sports related charity.  Congratulations June!
