Newfound Sound has been awarded $1600 from Sing Canada Harmony to support our new 2026 Choral Scholar initiative. These funds, along with a donation from Silvern Voices quartet and one of our members, will be used toward four music students who will act as section leaders. The students' roles will include supporting chorus members in each section to learn notes and proper tuning; prepare piano and vocal learning tracks; attend rehearsals; provide assistance to the music team, as required. In return, they will learn techniques for singing barbershop harmony and have the opportunity to sing with the chorus and in a quartet. This program will run until April. We are really looking forward to having these four students on our risers to share their voices and music skills with our chorus!
